Answer the two questions in the link to see your ethics level.

There's also another ethics test in which I score 50/100.  But answer the two ethical questions first.  I certainly failed.

That just shows why questioning everything is key. Don't just rely on your 'gut' reaction. Think everything through.

And, before you asked, sergdriver - I 'passed' - in that I said "No" to the first one and "I would judge them on their policies not their private lives".

I was not aware who was being refered to in the questions, but just the lack of further information led me to those conclusions.

It's a fun test only, but it makes you think, doesn't it?  Is ethics black and white, or it's full of grey zones.

Cool - cheers Ken - I now know what I am and can 'name' it - will save all those long-winded 'the way I see the world is...' type conversations...

Yes. (it does make one think, and yes, it's full of grey zones... or more accurately - it's a spectrum of moralities...)

This "test" is not about ethics. You can find ANY situation in which the ethical thing to do goes against what would be ethical in most similar situations.

What is Ethics (LINK):
"Ethics is two things. First, ethics refers to well based standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do, usually in terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtues. Ethics, for example, refers to those standards that impose the reasonable obligations to refrain from rape, stealing, murder, assault, slander, and fraud. Ethical standards also include those that enjoin virtues of honesty, compassion, and loyalty. And, ethical standards include standards relating to rights, such as the right to life, the right to freedom from injury, and the right to privacy. Such standards are adequate standards of ethics because they are supported by consistent and well founded reasons."

By those standards the "obvious" answer to the 2nd question in the test is then excluded as a possibility.

It's a fun ethics test, don't take it seriously.

as far as I'm concerned Beetoveen didn't save a few million people, so not choicing hitler makes me win...
