Ok as some of you already know the incremental does not update the "LOCALIZATION FILES."
So once again....DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE INCREMENTAL.

If you already have the incremental installed, then you may have noticed that when you attempt to start BF2 it works at 1st, but then crashes back to your desktop.

So un-install BF2 completely, then re-install it, and download and install the FULL 1.4 patch (530MB).

You can apply the full patch over the incremental without any problems. At least I didn't get any problems doing that.

Not for many.... Didnt work for me and many others. The game simply starts, but then crashes directly back.

I got the incremental....no problems with it at all.
I dont change localisation files, so maybe if you left the game alone - then it would be fine in the first place.

In fact, Ive never modded any of the game content. I had no problems with 1.3 (CTD's for me were rare) and now 1.4 works perfectly. Coincidence????

That's your own fault since it is something that YOU did to the game, it is NOT EA/DICE's fault.

All my localization files work and I had modded local files.  I think it is the operator not the actual patch that is screwing up.

I did Dl a few mods. Poe2, reality mod etc...

The incremental is hosed up for me. Starting then crashing back to windows, and no, it was nothing I did. It just didn't fucking work. Full patch for me. I know some smartass is going to say it was something I did to do it. Well, I did nothing but install the incremental and then restart my machine for good measure. Maybe some of us got a bad download.

thats bs dude!! i am using the inc and i am just enjoying playing without any problem:D hope there won't be any crash
