ok, now I installed bf2 onto a friends computer for the first time ever. for some reason his computer will close the game automatically and go back to desktop right after showing the "BF2" banner. how is this fixed? I tried deleting the folder in myspace but did no good seeing as to how he hasn't even been able to maek settings yet.

Does it crash to desktop right after the intro movie? I had a ATI Radeon 9250 PCI amd I had to change to AGP because PCI was not compatible.

Does the pc meet the minimum system requirements?

I don't know if Battlefield 2 is compatible with any PCI cards.

no, it crashes right after the "battle field 2" banner pops up. before the intro. and it goes back to desktop. I will ask him what his specs are, but it is a brand new vaio comp so I can 99% tell u it's compatable

It seems to me like its'a driver issue.

Try renaming the .BIK files (mods/BF2/movies). If you "only" get the 1st part of the intro, then maybe there's some problem loading these files. Worst case, you wasted 5 minutes trying it out, and you can rename the files back if you still want them.... I have mine renamed as default though.. makes the game load faster (I kept the menu ones though, they look kinda nice).

EDIT: Bah... Spelling sucks
