how do i go about changing my user name? i'd like to keep the stats i have now, but say later down the road i want to join a clan/guild or whatever and put tags up. how does one go about doing this?

yeh i would like to know as well i like my name i just thought it was stupid that i could never change but if you can how?
As of 1.03 you can add a six character prefix to your name. That could be your clan tag. Some people, like me, who created accounts with the clan tag built in, better hope our clans never fold because that you can't change at all.Mosh wrote:

I think it's pretty lame that you can't change your in game nick.

ok, but HOW do you add that 6 character prefix?
just fill out the empty bar above the window, where ur nick is displayed, on the log on screen.

How do you go about removing a tag altogether? It seems like all you can do is change it, but not remove the prefix.
Either just put in random letters in the bar at the log-in screen then back spcae them out then hit enter (logging on to your account). That usually works for me.
Or Alt-Tab (or exit) the game and go to My Documents/Battlefeild 2/Profiles/
Then open the Global.CON file with Notepad and change where it says:
"GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "[Your Prefix Here]" "
TO:
"GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "" "
