Cuck.
My taxes went down, just not as much as if I lived elsewhere. My taxes are high because of wastes of space like you.
My parent's taxes paid your education.

Not really. I'll pay more in taxes than his entire family combined this year.

being rich doesn't make you a better person, jay, this may be news to you.

you're still a piece of shit that took advantage of taxpayer-funded schemes for your own gain, and now pour spleen on the very idea of services paid for by tax.

if everyone had such a venal and pig-snouted attitude as yourself, society would collapse. you are worse than the antifas you hype so much.

so you think because you pay more in tax than someone in a given financial year (like the year you cash in on a lucrative side-project), you get to act high-and-mighty and dictate what is worthy tax spend and what isn't? lol. you are literally the worst stereotype of a poor hick who is grasping hungrily up the ladder.

uzi, my political beliefs have remained the same. I've always been for efficient government and hated bloat and waste. I see our national debt and I fucking despise the baby boomers in power that have created such a monstrosity, something that I, my children, and my grandchildren will have to pay off.

You really don't understand America or American politics at all. Right now, nearly every blue state is on the verge of oblivion budget-wise. This covid crisis and the quarantine might actually force some of them to make some very radical cuts because it is all sovereign debt and they are not allowed to declare bankruptcy. There's no way out for them. They created trillions of dollars of unfunded liabilities in the form of pensions for past and present employees, and they have no way to fund them. They can't keep raising taxes, because they're already bleeding residents to red states with lower taxes. They can't borrow more money, because states like Illinois are already near junk bond status.

What blue state governors are doing now is threatening to withhold state funding from local school districts. In my state, they're threatening to withhold 20%. Whenever something like this happens, and budget crisis' like this happen every time the school district budget is veto'd by the voters or some other cause of funding shortage, they threaten to go on strike, but first they cut the stuff that parents really like and will make a stink about. They go after the after school programs and the sports programs, because everyone wants to watch Johnny kick a soccer ball in the big game. What never happens is no one ever takes a pay cut. They just cut services. This is literally the oldest trick in the book played by governments at every level every time they don't get what they want budget-wise. When Ted Cruz shutdown the federal government, Obama ordered the national parks closed during summer vacation season because he knew people would complain loudly. It's a game.

What's not a game is that the Republicans will absolutely not bailout the Democratic states because A) it would set a terrible precedent and B) just like with the SALT tax cap, they're banking on those cuts in services and those tax increases to drive high earners into their own states. It certainly worked the first time, as Florida picked up a sizable chunk of New York's tax base. Sure, it's underhanded, and it's divisive, but so is begging for a bailout of what is essentially the Democratic Party base. Why sink many billions of dollars into saving blue state budgets when a large chunk of that money is just going to end up in Democratic Super PACs next election cycle? Public sector unions made their bed when they became hyperpartisan supporters and big money raisers for the Democrats. They should've hedged their bets or remained apolitical. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

What we are taxed is disgruntling because it is on so many different levels (especially if you run a business), and you can't really expect much back from it.

Oh, also, I just really don't like macbeth and don't think he should be allowed within 1000 feet of children. The fact that he has a teachers license makes me ill.

It's all just wasted. I wouldn't mind paying high taxes if we actually got an efficient government that did stuff well out of it. Literally everything our governments, state, local, federal, whatever, touch is just utter shit.

That's fine. I think you are one of those guys who will kill their families rather than declare bankruptcy.

You are white and a veteran. That's a high risk group.

I dodged a bullet on a private school when the principal creeped my mom out by showing off his collection of wooden paddles with an evil glint in his eye. Went to public school instead.

Wasn't that clip making fun of ISPs screwing people over? Imagine the chaos if government function was completely privatized. Would you send your kids to Comcast High or Amazon Prep? Maybe a trade school run out the back of a Walmart warehouse.

The next person shot 22 times could be by a cop with at least 15 different sponsor patches on his uniform.

I won't argue that a lot of tax money seems wasted, though.

It was pillorying cable company monopolies. Monopolies in general lead to shit service, and government is nothing if not a monopoly.

The guy exuded a thick aura of heebie jeebies. Borrowing from Harry Potter (ugh), I wonder how much was empty threat (Argus Filch) and how much was actual psychopathy (Dolores Umbridge).

My grandma had a wooden spoon. Never used it on me to my recollection, but the object held significance.

Both of you work. You can afford private schooling for your children, right? So much for the public school monopoly.
