Still more than you. Oh and I actually attended various demos when I was in the UK, I was on TV twice.
What is it, 1460 days until the election when there's a 69% chance you'll actually go and vote, depending on the weather?

COVID 19 is the worst disease process I’ve ever worked with in my 8 years as an ICU nurse.

When they say “recovered” they don’t tell you that that means you may need a lung transplant. Or that you may come back after d/c with a massive heart attack or stroke bc COVID makes our blood thick as hell. Or that you may have to be on oxygen for the rest of your life. COVID is designed to kill. It is a highly intelligent virus and it attacks everything. We will run out of resources if we don’t continue to flatten the curve.
I am a nurse on a COVID floor, I caught it. I am a relatively healthy 24year old & could barely walk up a half flight of stairs. My blood pressure skyrocketed, chest pain was debilitating. I’m 8weeks out and still feeling the chest pain and shortness of breath. This is no joke
I went into acute kidney failure and needed dialysis. I now have asthma, chronic cough and an irregular heartbeat. I have conditions I never had before, plus I’m wiped all the time. I hope this gets better, but you are on the money. And, mine was considered a low-moderate case.
This has really strained the healthcare system. Half of our nurses last night had 3 critically ill patients. Patients that would be 1:1 nurse to patient are now 3:1 ratios. I’m not looking for sympathy but I think the country forget we are in a crisis.

Even if COVID only does any of that to old people, who doesn't have some old people they care about? Does Jay not value the lives of his mother and father?

I recently posted an anecdotal from a covid patient. Horrible stuff. Doesn't look like she's having a good time at all.

One argument in favor of school uniforms I once heard from a National Review writer is that it pushes kids to look for new ways to differentiate themselves by doing things like dying their hair. Really stupid argument but it had a point. Kids will find ways to stand out. If schools reopen in September, we will probably see kids with designer or unique facemask. Or maybe schools will have uniform face mask you must buy. So interesting to see what will happen in September because no one knows what to do at all.

I wouldn't be surprised at a really awkward, staggered reopening of schools around the nation before shutting down again prior to the end of the year.

From the anecdote of the woman whose body, thanks to virus damage, in places looks like a turned fish in various stages of putrefication,

Does anyone know when the “asymptomatic” or “just a flu” parts of COVID-19 kick in? I’m looking forward to those.

65 days of being this sick. In isolation.

...

This is the reality of the horror that is COVID-19. Not the asymptomatic people or mild cases. Worry about the ones so many are willing to sacrifice for convenience. This is what will happen to them. Or they will die. Like the 100,000+ U.S. citizens who already have.
I suspect that if Jay or anyone in his household were hit full force like this case, he'd have been singing a different tune.

Jay would find some way to blame liberals. Like the CDC bureaucrats not allowing him or his family try hydroxychloroquine
The Food and Drug Administration has revoked its emergency use authorization for the drugs hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine for the treatment of Covid-19.

Hydroxychloroquine was frequently touted by President Donald Trump, and he has claimed to have used it himself.
After reviewing the current research available on the drugs, the FDA determined that the drugs do not meet "the statutory criteria" for emergency use authorization as they are unlikely to be effective in treating Covid-19 based on the latest scientific evidence, the agency noted on its website on Monday

When you focus on the outlier cases and believe them to be normal, rather than incredibly rare, you will scare the shit out of yourself. Millions of people made it through either mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic. If you catch it, the odds are greatly in your favor that you won't even notice.
"Ah, you miserable creatures! You who think that you are so great! You who judge humanity to be so small! You who wish to reform everything! Why don't you reform yourselves? That task would be sufficient enough."

Doctor Says a Rise in "Mystery Deaths" Is Likely Underreporting of COVID-19 Fatalities
https://www.distractify.com/p/covid-death-toll

Peter Richterich, Ph.D. has worked in the biomedical field for over three decades. He's been using his expertise to publish an educational blog about COVID-19 and all the issues and questions surrounding the virus. And his latest entry, "The Cheating Is Getting Worse," tackles the growing number of "mystery deaths" happening in the United States.

He explains that "mystery deaths," deaths where a medical examiner could not determine an exact cause of death, usually compose 1.25 percent of deaths, or about 600-650 deaths per week. But since COVID-19 has gone up, the number of "mystery deaths" has been steadily increasing, which means that they probably aren't really that mysterious after all.

In the last two weeks of May alone, there were more than 3,600 "mystery" deaths per week. "You might expect that the alarm bells would be ringing if something kills 3,000 Americans each week — but I have not seen a single news report about this," Dr. Richterich writes.

That's because, Richterich claims, health officials and governments know that these "mystery" deaths are really "COVID-19 deaths without a positive test." In many states, cases of "probable COVID-19," where the patient hasn't been able to get tested before they die, are not counted in the state's official COVID-19 death toll.

Many of these states have way higher numbers of "mystery" deaths compared to official COVID-19 deaths, and many of these states are also the ones that pushed to re-open their economies, like Florida, Tennessee, and Texas.

What does all this mean? Well, it means that many states appear to be knowingly lying to residents about how many people are dying from COVID-19. They are not taking these "mystery" deaths into consideration, the vast, vast majority of which are most likely COVID-19, when calculating their COVID-19 death tolls.

They are purposely and willingly "cheating," as Dr. Richterich puts it. They're ignoring data they should absolutely be considering, and they are telling people it's fine to go out when thousands of COVID-19 deaths aren't being reported as such.

"Either these states need to alert the public that some 'mystery disease' is killing hundreds of people per week, or they pretty much admit by their inaction that they are cheating," Dr. Richterich writes.

And based on his research, "the cheating is getting worse" because more "mystery" deaths than COVID-19 deaths were reported in the last two weeks of May. Many officials are telling us that COVID-19 cases are only going up because more people are getting tested, but the reality is very different.

The real story is that shelter-at-home orders didn't last long enough. People got tired of staying home, and the federal government didn't step up to provide financial assistance that people needed so they could stay home for a few months and really "flatten the curve."

So we've been gaslit into thinking the virus isn't spreading as fast as it had been when, in fact, nothing has changed. More people are dying from COVID-19 than are being reported.

The lesson here is that COVID-19 is still here; it's still spreading, and you are still definitely at risk of catching it, no matter how many governors are telling you to go back to restaurants and bars. Stay home. Wear a mask. Stay vigilant. This is far from over.
If Jay or any in his household had been an "outlier case," I'm pretty sure he'd be focusing on "outlier cases" and saying little to nothing about people being overly worried about a little flu.

The "outlier cases" diminishment, with USA nearing 120k in just reported coronavirus deaths in half a year. She's one outside that number just managing to hang on.

Nevermind the deaths in the future that will be expedited by tissue and organ damage to survivors of the disease. I wonder how many people will still be smug in the knowledge that the virus wasn't "all that," meanwhile in their bravado having personally, even asymptomatically spread it to untold numbers.

lol jay still thinks the only people who get seriously sick are 'outliers'. even though it is statistically, incontrovertibly an order of magnitude more dangerous than flu. christ 160 pages of nuzzink.

jay, can you please explain to me like i'm very stooopide ... if this is no big deal, why has every government in the world made somewhat of a deal of it? it's not just the WHO: most advanced countries have their own medical and disease administrations who are treating this as A Very Bad Thing. scientists and independent researchers all over the world, on every continent, in many languages, are conducting 100s of studies, gathering landfills of data, and all are treating it as a bad deal requiring Utmost Caution.

why? if you see through it? how has everyone been duped? i mean, it seems silly enough when you blame it on 'liberal hysteria' and 'democrats being democrats', but this is way way beyond an american party-political issue. what's with the rest of the world? china? south korea? germany? the UK? all of these disparate nations with very different systems, ideologies, and approaches, are all reaching roughly the same conclusions. all are urging caution and treating it as a very serious thing.

can you please just explain this to me? why is it only you and your national review blog who have seen through the groupthink and delusion? that's a lot of very intelligent scientists and doctors who have been duped.
