I hope your parents do okay. I know you are taking this seriously too. My parents are in their mid-50's and I worry a lot about them even before the Wuhan pandemic.

That was the right move then. My track record is the best here when it comes to pandemics. I am not hyped up because of the media or because I hate Trump. I am always deeply concerned about the public health.

NyQuil and cough drops will be for when I inevitably contract it. As a young healthy person I will survive with only flu like symptoms.

And it is Wuhan Flu. Is the name Spanish Flu also racist?

Also I think calling it the "Wuhan flu" is probably a bit of a misnomer.

Schools in NJ are training staff to use Google classroom. The older teachers are already not happy about that and many say they won't use it even if the schools are closed.

Boomers

A lot of schools want teachers and kids to log onto a computer system and run classes from home as if the kids are in the room with them during the scheduled time. The teachers would also need to do mandatory checks in's multiple times per day to prove that they are using the systems.

I highly doubt the home learning software companies have the server power to handle the entirety of the U.S. school system. The older teachers are going to boycott this and I think the younger teachers are aware what a shit show this will be.

Aside from the tech side of it, there is a serious problem with paying the support staff. Support staff like aides and substitute teachers are per diem workers who are contracted from third party companies. This saves districts money but you then run into the problem of what to do about the aides you need for the classes not getting paid or having the resources they need to do the work at home with the kids. Who knew outside contracting would be so difficult?

As for me, I don't know what I am going to do. Often times in college professors would use scanners to turn book chapters into PDFs for the weekly readings. I guess I could do that.

It's a good thing that the elderly aren't people then.

A lot of people who follow your political ideology don't want to actually do anything to provide treatment though. I read the same news sites as you. I am aware about how the rank and fill libertarians and Republicans feel.
