Love the reductionist argument - should have paid better attention in school!

And the generalities - new jobs are created every day!  It's that simple folks - pay attention in school and you have no worry about losing your job. And if you do happen to lose it (because you weren't paying attention in school!), well, there's a new job being created that you can do!

Again, I have to ask - what kind of reality do you live in?

I hope bf2s is still around the day you get replaced by three Chinese American or H1B engineers.

One where I busted my ass through school and continuously improve my skillset and education. I don't feel sorry for people who coast. Don't expect sympathy from me.

That's great.  What makes you think those people who were terminated/replaced didn't do all that too?  The fact they were replaced means they didn't bust their ass or are not continuously improving?  Do you see where your logic is faulty here?

I'm currently managing $33M worth of projects through construction, and am going to do another million square feet of energy audits by the end of the year. Can't take someone off the boat and plug them into my job, sorry.

They could've, but most people don't. People get comfortable and go on autopilot.

It's a given that management will try to cut labor costs any way they can. It doesn't make management evil, it's just the game. You fight to raise your salary, they fight to keep you in place. At some point it becomes more economical to outsource. If you don't want to be outsourced then make yourself un-outsourcable or start your own business.

Jay's dream of 240 million Americans running their own invincible businesses or irreplaceably managing multi-million dollar contracts is truly a marvel to behold. Don't forget to vote Trump to make it happen.

You're losing the game, kids. Get Darwined.

you took government handout money, hardly 'busting your ass off' to get where you are.

i always find your attitude one of the most troubling - it's the complacency and lack of self-honesty. it's so venal and sordid, the way people like you take advantage of every public funding scheme and big government policy there is going, and then wish to pull the ladder up after you, or else yank it from beneath someone else's feet. you are a narrow and limited egotist; the "all my success comes from my virtues, everyone else deserves their failures" school of thinking.

What does income pyramids have to do with the U.S. having more childhood poverty than most other wealthy countries?

I took government handout money? I volunteered to serve in my country's military. What the hell have you ever done for anyone but yourself?

You took Pell grants. That's money meant for low income people to go to school. We would have never had found out if you didn't post your meal plan bill or whatever.

How does anyone even eat $2000 worth of college food as a commuter student? That's like 3 meals a day?

Since we managed to go from you boohooing people losing their jobs to you making personal attacks on me I'm going to assume that you have no rational argument and have lost.

And search works now, look up the last time I denigrated people on welfare or food stamps. You're arguing with a ghost.

You didn't take grant money because your parents made too much money you crybaby sack of shit.

I seriously hope you have $200,000 in student loan debt and that your parents didn't help you. I know that's not true though.

He lived at home and his parents paid his tuition. He only worked part time for spending money.

Had my own apartment and worked full time. I wish my parents paid for my college in totality. I would have went to NYU like I was accepted to. Had to settle for Rutgers.

In my opinion the argument is about the companies abusing the H1B visa system, not feeling sorry for people who have been replaced.

From here

"Body Shop agencies / Sub-Contracting consulting firms" -  Restricted from filing
The most important example for IT consulting situations is "job-shop" or "Sub-Contracting" business practices. The USCIS does not consider that there is a valid employer-employee relationship if the H1B employer (petitioner) contracts with other companies (end clients) and subcontracts the employee to the end client to fill their staffing needs. The H1B worker reports to a manager who is an employee of the end client company. The H1B worker gets work assignments from the manager in the end client company rather than agency that petitioned for the H1B visa and employs the H1B worker. The H1B employer (petitioner) does not control the work schedule, and there is no proprietary information regarding the petitioner that is used in the process. The end product is not related to the petitioner's business of IT consulting, and reviews are completed by the end client. The petitioner does not have the right of control and does not exercise control. Accordingly, there is no employer-employee relationship in this example.
The example in the OP is a blatant disregard for the above.  I actually mentioned as much in my first post in this thread - you know, the first reply with any actual substance?

So it's already dealt with and a lawsuit will follow. Amazing.
