I have a hardcover copy of the 9/11 commission report. I really can't wait to read the 1/6 report. The ramifications of the national guard having to recapture the congress building without proper authorization while the president denied previous request is huge for civil military relations.
i mean, the president got a cop killed in the halls of power. he incited violence. the 4th police officer to ever die in the history of that 200-year-old police force. i don't know how much worse it can get before someone declares a president unfit for office.

Rats are finally sensing the ship is sinking, but I'm worried that people will view being reproached by many and banned on Twitter will be viewed as good enough. Unless there's some smoke and mirrors and the 25th Amendment were invoked already, I'm still on edge with the powers that are retained. So that is 1 maybe for a Republican to vote for the inevitable impeachment. Assuming democrats all vote for impeachment, they would need 18 additional senators besides Lisa to also defect out if a total of 50 republicans.Sen. For a brief moment, he managed to tweet anyhow — not from @realDonaldTrump, his suspended account, but rather the official @POTUS account reserved for the current President of the United States, one that will be handed over to Joe Biden on January 20th.
His message, before it was deleted, cryptically suggested that he will “have a big announcement soon” and that he was looking “at the possibilities of building out our own platform.” Trump is currently deplatformed from most social media.

some serious questions have to be asked about why groups like this have had SO much leniency and tolerance from police forces, not only on the day but nationally, and for so long.
and wow, how obvious a warning they had that there was a gun trained on them. they were all shouting for a good 15 seconds 'there's a gun, there's a gun, that guy has a gun'. that woman walked into a bullet. how entitled and root-level sure do you have to be that the police aren't going to hurt you because they're on your side that you'll charge a corridor when there's a gun pointed at you, 5 feet away?
