A matrix of several hundred pocket springs.

Excellent ventilation and moisture transport because of the permeable fabrics used.

You can place a glass of wine on one end of the bed and jump onto the other without any movement.

in Merika we call those 'individually wrapped coils'. And that wine glass test is sorta bullshit. No movement on the bed is entirely vertical like dropping a bowling ball. Most of it is lateral like rolling over or getting out of bed.

However yes, as far as coil mattresses go (excluding foam and water beds... ) they are the new technology.

I spent WAY more time researching mattresses than I would have liked when I bought one a few weeks back.
