It's tied to your passport so you get in that way. Thinking about it I have the confirmation email, I could use that, maybe.Dilbert_X wrote:
Just a printout should be OK, you must have something?jord wrote:
Although it says to carry your visa with you as well as your foreign license if you drive, which isn't possible since the visa is electronic and I have no documentation for it. I'll cross that bridge if and when I come to it.
That should be all you need, hopefully it will have a reference on it, cops etc just want to see a convincing piece of paper they can follow up at a later date if they need to.

Nope, you don't really need anything in South East Asia to rent motorbikes, and UK license is good in SA as well as other international licenses. I think the non english ones you have to convert to English though, or something.Cybargs wrote:
you got an international driving permit right jord?

naw you kinda need one to legally drive overseas, like the UK license is good and what not but you still need an intl permit (not license). a lot of it has to do with the fact that most aussie coppers require additional documentation. hell even my interstate license (ACT) gets a lot of confused heads when I use it for ID since no one has really seen one here in sydney.jord wrote:

You need an international permit but to be honest I got one and even offered it but was never received and I hired four cars whilst in the US.
Having said that, it's not expensive and if you do happened to get pulled over you'll be kicking yourself if you don't have one.

Most harvest jobs are after Spring and Summer, not before. Fruit and such doesn't generally grow well during Winter.Dilbert_X wrote:

One of the girls at work has an English boyfriend, he got pulled over the other day and he didn't have his UK licence on him and the cop decided it'd be too much hastle and let him go.

http://www.viterra.com.au/storage-handl … reparationViterra is recruiting for approximately 1500 casual workers across South Australia and Western Victoria for the 2013/14 harvest period.
A variety of positions are available across Viterra's grain network, including the Eyre Peninsula, Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Murray Mallee, South East, Adelaide, and Western Victoria.
With no experience necessary, these positions are perfect for people looking for short term work between October 2013 and January 2014.
I wouldn't really suggest anyone do fruit picking unless they have to.
