Okay. Back on subject. What could I use as an excuse to show up to a Filipino festival? I guess I could lie and say I am a student who is studying history and wanted to be exposed to their culture. I think that is pretty transparent.

I personally used POF. Though, you'd have to go througha bunch of artsy-losers/hippies/single-moms/crackwhores/smokers/clubbers/f-buddies/rebounders/dumbasses/christians/sociopaths/gold-diggers before you hit a normal one. From my experience, its roughly 2 out of 3 that fall in those loser categories.
