Afghanistan has been producing herion for ages and surpried that they haven't stopped them from growing it.
All they need to do is move all the people away and napalm the whole area.
I don't think should allow this to continue considering how long it has been going on.

These farmers aren't likely to give up cultivating it because it's the only way they can provide a decent living for themselves and their families. This is the one thing that keeps the country from sinking from halfway the shithole to the very bottom.

Wouldn't be the first time the CIA have been involved in lucrative drug dealings.

Although I would have thought (hoped) a focus of the operation would be to reduce exports of Heroin/Opium.

True. They wanted $12 billion off the US for the loss of income the ban caused. Not totally unreasonable since the US give Pakistan $11 billion for enforcing the ban on poppy cultivation.

Yeah I wrote a paper on this for a terrorism class I have in college.

Afgahanistan still produces a ton of this crap....the Taliban is still out there making money off of it in places we can't get to.

Doesn't matter how it's used, it's just that one joker that gets it down the line who uses, drives while using it, and then kills one of your family members cause they were high off of it. You can thank the Taliban for it. 9/11 isn't the only thing they were a part of.
