is only $100 and that beats the pants off of the other mobo companies.

I'm not really looking for crazy overclocking or anything, just a stable system that runs core 2 duo.

ECS is a rather large OEM board supplier. In years past they probably weren't the ideal company to go with, but they seem to have some pretty decent stuff now if you aren't into overclocking.

ECS isn't as bad as it used to be. I've purchashed one or two of them myself.. Usually because of the price. Normally, I'd say $100 for an ECS board is overpriced, but considering the cost of other boards with the same features, it's not THAT bad (especially if you can get the $20 rebate). If you "just" want a cheap and decent mobo, Asrock is also good. Technologically they're about 6 months behind the competitors, but that's because it's a Asus in diguise, and they're not going to compete with the leading tech Asus boards.

I have used them mostly for cheap desktops for like my mom or cousins that are not doing any heavy lifting. In 5 years I have only run into a handfull of problems with them. If you are looking at their newer High performance stuff look for some reviews, I know they have not been in that realm for too long.
