You can use only a dual core, but only if it support 32-bit processing. You need Windows XP Pro 64 to use the full 64-bit support of the CPU.

By the way. You may consider upgrading to Service Pack 2. It solves a lot of security issues.

On the other hand. If you can't upgrade to SP2, then you could have a pirated serial. That, however, is just speculation.

what are you looking to do with machine? Windows 64 is a bit buggy and I am not sure, but i think some people have had problems playing bf2 with it. May just want to stick with what you have and just make sure you update it.

cuz i have low fps 40-60 fps in full servers

i have amd 3800 x2 am2
ASUS m2n-e
512 x2 duel channel dr2 g.skill 667mhz
80gb sata2
x1800 x2 256 mb+AC cooling
SP1 no updates i think that its not support duel core cuz its take along time to load th WINDOWS

so or the WINDOWS is the problam or i need more ram(i play on all high except medium=lighting and shadows are OFF)!!!

You need to install the necessary drivers for your processor.  Best bet is to upgrade to SP2 since it's not very clever to run a computer without updates.  Also ensure your motherboard and video drivers are up to date.

Buying a fast machine doesn't entail high frame rates unless you make sure everything's working.
