Hell, I know people who still play BF 1942...lol. I hope not, just wish they would update to rid of the server shutdon errors that seem to plague SF all the time.
2142 is just a cheap and nasty BF2 mod
BF2 is the best online war game as far as i know. Now if only ea can get their priorities straight.

People still play 1942 & Vietnam & BF2 has been around the pizza hutts....
Some people never forget there roots and others will play depending on what era of game they prefer.
Personally i still hope around all the BF series, sure 42 and Nam have less people to join the servers with but there are still people that play it and until there are no servers at all it wont be dead and i cant see that happening for a few years.

No. Unless EA forces people to play 2142 by shutting bf2 servers down.
BF2 will live as 1942 did, BF2142 however will die after a shortlifetime like BFV did.
