I, just like everyone else, would very much like to see the final version of 1.4 on my hard drive. But come on, people, have a bit of patience! EA pulled the first patch before release because it still had issues...would you  rather they released it super-buggy, like 1.3? I highly doubt it. I'm not trying to forgive them for letting the game be so buggy for so long, but come on at least give them a bit more time to try and do this right.

I for one have seen enough of the "I want 1.4 NOW and I'm sick of waiting" posts. Despite what you may say on the contrary you haven't been morally wronged and subject to a grave injustice by waiting for 1.4. Cool it, relax, and have some patience and, if anything, apprecaition that DICE is putting in the extra time to produce a patch that's of [theoretically] higher quality.

A hot fix (1.31) for CTD and server crashes should have been released no more then 2 weeks after 1.3. Then they could have spent all the time in the world getting 1.4 ready and ironing out the less major bugs like red tag etc and adding all the new content they want. So no I would prefer a quick fix for the major problems now and then a refined version when they get it sorted.

i have patience. i dont blame ea for taking this long, but what they should really do is release 1.3, 1.31, 1.32 and so on. this way the game will get better little by little over shorter periods, instead of absolutely sucking, and then becoming the absolutely best patch ever. this way bf2 wont lose alot of players and everyone is happy.

by saying this i dont mean bring out patches every week, i mean every month.

QFE, they could spend all time in the world if the servers dident crash every 3 rounds
9 out of 10 times server crashes right after reboot to crash again half way true the round.

Not that I know of, But if they did it didnt work.

Interesting topic.

In one hand, we have 1.3 plagued with bugs, which for some make the game unplayable, both from the technical and the enjoyment perspectives.

On the other hand, we want to have a new release, 1.4, that is stable and has no major bugs, that is, nothing as broken as 1.3.

I will have to err on the side of caution, and tag along with the people that prefer to wait for a proper patch as opposed to a timely one. Lately I play BF2 very seldomly, and for less time, mostly because I lose all impulse to play after the first CTD. last thing I would want is another broken patch which will extend the pain for yet another uncertainty period.

Let's hope 1.4 does reverse most of the stupid issues brought by all those unnecesary "features" added with 1.3, and that the new "features" added with 1.4 do not cause as much grief as its doomed predecessors.
