Patch 1.4 Missile suggestion

My suggestion for 1.4 would be to change the duration between firing a missile in a jet from instantaneous to say 5-10 seconds. ie. each missile gets fired at the rate of 1 per 5 seconds (or 2 per 5 seconds, 1 from each wing side).

This would prevent people from simply spamming missile left, right and center, it gives the jets (esp. the F-35), some chance against other jets and in most jets there is a time delay before when you can fire your next missile.

yeah i rekn this is a good idea i think this would actually encourage ppl to get away from the enemy jets, and would also give them a chance.

this is where the real skill would be, as for every missile u shoot, u would be tempted to try to take the jet down with ur guns, and then the 2nd missile as a finish

Where did you hear that real jets can't fire off missiles in rapid sucession? I can see why you wouldn't, but not why you can't.

Encourage people to get away from jets? Wtf do you do when your being chased? :S

Still, I like the idea, and unlike, about 90% of the ideas brought forward in this site, it could actually easily be implimented, I mean there adding delays from prone blah blah, so doing the same in vehicles can only be a good thing.

why will the jetwhores whine? Then they don't have to worry anymore if a jet is on their tail. It will be pre 1.2 again, jets will be invincible so they can bomb away making it crap for the ground troops again as no-one can take the jets out except for mountains and trees.

It is a nice idea but I don't think it's the good one. Improving the f35b or nerfing the j10 is still the best solution I think.

good idea not realistic though jets in real life dont reload Air to Air missles where would they come from? But then again if we were to play that game it would mean jets cant re arm by flying over bases and medics cant revive i mean thats unrealistic but there is kind of a line and like posted theres only a limited amount of AA it will be like Pre 1.2 invincible jets and air vehichles.

The suggestion I have is only for jets, the ground AA can still fire missiles as fast they like.

Just make it so that jets have to re-acquire a missile every time they have to fire a missile. That gets rid of missile spam from one jet to another (which I reckon is a big issue, it effectively kills dog fighting).

Good constructive idea. It still won't get that J-10 off your ass, but it will get you over the AA, so they can remove the threat.

Actually if you have seen Cali play, you can shake off a J-10 using a F-35. But then again that particular J-10 pilot might have been a nub...

i agree with d3x74, make the AA guns on the ground so they can fire missiles a lot faster. Maybe not infinite amount maybe 6 - 10 and make the lock stay on for longer (more range). I get so pissed off in Wake when you are playing as the USMC, i takes so long to get onto the island because of the PLA jet whores. Speaking of wake, make the AA guns so they dont have so many trees in the way.

Thats how i take down j10s, follow 1 with bombing on, Wait till he slows to realod.. SPAM AWAY!!!!!! I want to try and teabag em with the jet.
