Wait for a demo from like PC GAmer. Thats what I'm going to do, play the demo for a few months to get a feel for the gamethen actually buy it. I did that with BF2 and started out not being totall useless as I understood everything.

Your computer is RESETTING due to the fact that it simply can not handle BF2142. Your computer does not match the requirements the game needs. Search google for information realated to BF2 rebooting.. and this is your same problem for BF2142. My friend had the same problem.. upgraded his ram/video card and works perfectly fine now, no other adjustments.

The game to me wasnt to much of a bug bomb.
But it just seemed so so much like BF2 with some new bullshit added on to it..
