According to play.com, BF2142 is scheduled for release on Friday 13th October (in the UK). Anyone want to lay odds that it won't actually come out that day?

Just in case it happens, I have pre-booked annual leave from work for the day.

I'd have argured the other way if anything. If the beta is as shocking sa everyone is saying I wouldn't have thought there was enough time to get the game sorted out for a 13th October release.

Look at how long it's taken to patch 1.4 so far.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a 13th October release, but I won't be at all surprised if it turns into a christmas present.

Well, i would rather have it released later, and all the problems be fixed, then to have it all fucked up like bf2 is and have to wait 32423423 months for a patch to fix problems

Ah damn, what day does it come out in the US. I would imagine the same day because people like Firestorm and Volx would be screaming that they didn't get the equal chance to start at the same time. I'm gonna pre order mine probably today (Time to try out that new Debit Card!!!). But do the pre-orders come out before the normal (probably not)?

I've heard an October 10'th release date on Planet Battlefield, so there are two possiblities in my mind

A, the US release date is Oct. 10'th (or, Oct 12/12/2006, if you can figure that out), the UK release date Oct. 13'th (or Oct 12/15/2006, in above pattern)

B, they're both unreliable release dates, related to something else entirely (for instance, preliminary Xbox 360 release dates, all wrong, were acquired by seeing when games ship to stores). However, it's likely that the release date is within a week of Oct. 10'th/12'th.

Anyways, Friday, October the 13'th? THat's going to drive superstitious people nuts.

I went into GAME, and asked to see the list of game release dates. For BF 2142 i saw 20th October. This is wot im goin to believe as GAME are a pretty big company in the UK (as i know it so far) so i dnt think theyd wanna f*** up on theyre release dates as it wudnt go down well with the companies popularity.
