Which video card should I get in my New Computer?

Which do you prefer? I hope these cards are compatible with 2142, even though some of my choices aren't listed under the requirements for 2142.

I'll probably get a really good card and it won't work, which is stupid.

7900GT is your best bet

the x1900 believe it or not is rather expensive last time I checked

Wait no longer MECtallica. If you plan on getting Windows Vista I'd hold off due to the DX10 issue. But if not go for the 7900GT Im pretty sure that would still work with 2142.

Yes the GeForce 7950 for the win. Its 2 7900s in 1 3d card with a bigger speed boost than in sli mode

yeah, and at the computer shop where i live, a 7950 is 800$

do they still produce 7800's? i might get either that or a 7900.

Yeah, and nvidia cards come with an overclocking program that you just have to find, which is simple.

i use a 7600, runs godlike, 7900 would definitely be your best bet.
