Grunge is essentially an offshoot of punk. Sonic Youth is more No Wave, but their experimentation is something that truly amazes me. RATM is probably my favourite band on the list, because they echo most of my political beliefts in amazing guitar and bass.Vampira_NB wrote:

But I'm saddened by the absence of The Descendents and Black Flag (With or without Henry Rollins)
and to the uninformed, go watch "The Decline of Western Civilization", Great punk rock doc.
and Rage Against the Machine is also damn good. and I'll have to look up the few bands listed that I didn't recognize
