I think thats a great idea. That way players would be rewarded for playing that class.
I heard that the unlocks are going to be teir'ed.
IE the recon stealth kit is a high teir unlock so most people will have to wait a number of ranks to unlock it.
I would prefer if there was a time, and/or kills requirement to geting some, if not all of the unlocks.

But you rank up way faster. I already have gone through like 7 or 8 ranks.

I'd personally like one or two examples of ranks.  Undoubtedly some of them are going to be say, Lieutenant, Class 5, because there is no way there could possibly be a real ranking system with 44 ranks.  And, I believe you choose 1 unlock per rank-up, and there are trees for the classes (plus some universal unlocks like grenades).
