I am about to convert my boot drive to a RAID 0, what I would like to do is just image my current drive, Install the second harddrive...run RAID then install the image of my original drive to the RAID. Any ideas on some preferably free software I could do this with?

Here is one tip on how to do this for free, sort of:

Personally, I think you will have to pay for real imaging software. There is Norton Ghost and Acronis True Image that are the most well known. I use Acronis True Image and it has saved me before.

Edit: Oh you are going from 1HD to Raid. Im not sure how imaging programs deal with this but I know I have seen the topic come up in the Acronis forums so check there if you are really interested.

norton ghost comes to mind but its not free. i'm sure there is something on google on this. also i'm not sure if you can just copy it to a raid 0 array without inserting the necessay drivers somehow. so why dont you just reinstall windows? i just did that today and after 2h i'm ready to run everything againb

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Meh, I'd just format. It'll make your PC run faster anyway. I format like every 6 months and it's not that bad. You just install programs as you go and need them.

Heh I dont think you understand the amount of stuff I have on this system and the trouble I have went through to get my hands on what I do have. Along with the fact it is highly tweaked. Big thing is I dont want to lose some of the programs I have because I may not be able to get them again if you catch my drift.
