Hello,

Right now, I am running a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with 256 MB of Memory on it, and I was just wondering if the upgrade to a x1300 Pro with 256 MB of memory would be worth the $99. I am running on all low settings (just to minimize crashing and lag, I can up a few settings to medium though), and with no AA. Also, I would be getting the AGP version as I don't have enough cash to upgrade to a PCI-E compatible motherboard.

Any opinions?

I'm not too familiar with the older ATI cards but i would go for a Nvidia 6600gt or 6800gt if you've got that kind of money.

Well, I don't have enough to dish out on a x1900, and I don't see any thing at Best Buy I can buy such as the x1600 or x850 like Raxor said.

I really want to upgrade today if at all, so I don't want to order online. Also, would my motherboard support a nVidia card if it accepts ATI as well? I may look into a nVidia card, but I would need help finding one as they name theirs differently.

Here's what my box says.. x1300 is a x16 btw, so it wouldn't even work on my mobo (it's really old).

VIA PT800 / VT8237 Chipset
Intel P4 FSB 800 / DDR 400
AGP x8, SATA 150 RAID
10/100M LAN, ATX
