yeah latest drivers should do it.

Just type into google sapphire tech and you will get the site, select your model of card from the menu and there you go

I think Catalyst 6.3 was the last one to support the 92xx range. You can get it here https://support.ati.com/ics/support/def … olderID=27

you might want to remove your previous drivers first and then install the newer ones (but beware for the crappy 800x600 desktop when you reboot first hehe )
I have a radeon 9600XT and had the problems a few times, haven't had it for a while after updating my drivers. Or else you might check if your power supply is strong enough.
no that's not too low, I played till two months back with a 512 Ram...

Hmmm didn't know the data would expire sorry. Try getting it from here http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=18 . The one you want is : ATi CAtalyst 6.3 Windows 2000/XP/MCE.
I run a 9250 at work with this driver and it's fine (i don't play bf2 at work honest). I also have all settings on low but view distance at 100%.

You can also get the Catalyst Uninstaller from here : http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1275

Keep in mind that if you upgrade only your video card in your existing "pre-made" configuration (especially Dell models, they are very screwy on PSUs) always check wether your current PSU can supply the new video card or not.

VPU recovery errors and freezes are normal on machines with an inadequate power source.

At the moment you enter a graphically intense game, your video card stars to use a huge amount of power - compared to other PC parts - if you don't have enough power it will freeze then reboot.

Hope that helps!

YEAH THANKS THAT HAS IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING.

THANKS, WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE POWER SOURCE BEING TO LOW?

Thanks for the karma...you need to buy a new Power Supply Unit.

Calculate the total power consumption of your PC and choose a new PSU strong enough to handle it....and a bit more since you will continue to upgrade your PC.
