Then he would make all the promises in the world to me ma and da and never come through for them. Fuck him.CameronPoe wrote:
The thing is the asylum seekers are getting kicked out after the asylum application process ends. No tear-jerking stories have permitted any illegal immigrant to stay here - a great achievement for politicians who are always asked to pander to the 'Deportation is Racism' brigade. We changed our constitution to make it even more difficult to get Irish citizenship (the 'must have one Irish parent' rule). The benefits the illegals get are far from luxury - it's barely enough to get by on, and when their application is eventually turned down: they're on a chartered plane to wherever they came from asap.captain_itchy_pants wrote:
Cameron, I wish europe was sending them back to their country but it so untrue. Look at Ireland and the mess that is the refugee problem. They come in and get the biggest handouts in history. They get apartments, cell phones, medicial coverage, childrens allowance, even entertainment cash. WTF? Poor Paddy who has worked every day for 30 years gets nothing and if he says anything hes called a racist?!?!?!
Bertie is getting a huge kick back from the EU and Irelands sons and daughters are paying the price.
We have 100s of thousands of legal immigrants coming here right now from Eastern Europe and that is driving our economic growth by sustaining our ability to cater for demand for products and services. Ireland has long had a tradition of emigrating to go and work hard and make a living - the trend has now reversed completely and we now have an opportunity to reward others who wish to do the same as our ancestors. I won't begrudge one Pole or Lithuanian - fellow EU citizens - coming here to make a living.
Personally I think Bertie is improving in his manner of dealing with immigration, after a shaky start.
I dont begrudge any person the right to live where they are as long as they have done it legally. My parents and brothers and sister still live in Dublin and they see the state that illegal immigrants are turning Dublin into. Yes they are making changes but they arent coming soon enough. I am glad there are hard workers that want to make a difference in Irelands future but there are some who cant give a shite about it. Irelands crime rate has jumped and I hear of drive by shootings, and the huge drug problem brought in by the asylum seekers. More people under the age of 25 are being treated for drug problems in Ireland than in any other country in the EU.
