How do you know that they're terrorist homes? How does Israel? Further, if can justify killing of terrorists' families to get at the terrorists, how can you condemn Hizballah, who kill soldiers' families to get at soldiers?

Lebanon allowed Hezbollah to act as a state within the country and even has a voice in their Parliment. Lebanon could have stopped Hezbollah at anytime and chose not too. I cant believe the vote for this thread is as close as it is, if anyone should pay to rebuild lebanon it should be the lebanese government or Syria that funnled the hundereds of millions of dollars of arms and explosives to hezbollah. To think that Israel should have to pay for defending themselves is just plain malarky!
I'm pretty sure the hundreds of millions of dollars of arms and explosives given to Hezbollah are more than the millions given to Israel by US...duh? Oh, my scientific calculator appears to be broken. Shit.Sombo wrote:

Yes.
A lot of Israels bombing campaign has been to destroy the countries infrastructure, blowing up bridges etc. I'm not an expert in this subject but I seemed to remember that a bridge has uses other than for terrorism.
Exactly how many Hezbollah rockets were being fired from the runway of the international airport (which has now been bombed 3 times)?
Israel have showed little desire to recover their kidnapped soldiers. Plenty of soldiers have been kidnapped and this has never happened before. Even the parents of one of the kidnapped soldiers said that their son was just being used as an excuse to to attack Lebannon. Israel seem to be trying to financially ruin the entire country. If Hezbollah really is their target then they've failed massively. They're still firing back and they've recieved a massive increase in populatity as a result of this action.

Which is exactly why they should pay for the reconstruction..:XDR:.PureFodder wrote:

Listen gOOber since when is Israel a terrorist state? pull your head outta your keister and start using a little common sense! And as far as your scientific calculator i got just the thing you can do with that!sergeriver wrote:

Lemme give you a summary about how this started
1. Hezbollah dug a tunnel to get past border and they killed and kidnapped Israeli soldiers.
2. Israel launches bombs at Hezbollah supply lines.
3. Hezbollah starts fireing rockets into Israel.
Note that Hezbollah hid behind civilians and when Israel accidently killed civilians while trying to get Hezbollah fighters , Hezbollah says that israel hides behind civilians. what the hell?
Very classy answer. Launching a missile towards civilians is terrorism as blowing up a coffe shop with a bomb hidden in your case. If you want to have an adult discussion great, if u don't stfu.Sombo wrote:

oh so dont answer the guy's Qestion just dodge it. and i think that u should take a trip to a place called reality, and see that Israel is totally in the wrong for having responded in the way that they did, and yes i watch the news, evedently with more care than u do. the iraeli responce was totally outragous, in the month of fighting hesbola ( might i add it isnt a lebonese organisation ) only killed around 50 Israeli civilians, however, israel killed several times that number of civilians, in fact in one deliberate rade on a civilain building in lebanon israel killed 50 civilans, the TOTAL numer of casualties suffered by israel in the whole conflict. this is not to mention the fact the israel deliberatly destroyed a whole UN outpost killing 3 PEACEKEEPERS, that is outrageous, and dont tell me it wasxnt deliberate, they used a precision guided bomb from an F16, and the outpost had been under fire from artillery for the whole day prior to that, and the outpost had given out many many distress calls to the israeli forces.AlbertWesker[RE] wrote:

I think that the reason that israel gets away with this is because no one will stand up to them because of wat happened 60+ years ago, they think that just because their ansestors were massacred, it gives them the right to do anything. Because of the holocaust, Israel is now a lawless state, that is supported by the US only because of the fact that the biggest jewish population in the world lives there. It is undeniable, and it must stop. U can call me antisemite if u wish, i dont care, i know that it isnt true, i hav many jewish friends, i just feel that someone needs stand up to these people, and no one will, because every arab country knows that if it even dares to speak out, it will face oblivion from the US and Israel.
Israel must b held to justice, in this war, the lebonese conflict, they hav committed horendous warcrimes, and no one accepts this, people just turn a blind eye, I am Not going to do this!

you my friend are an ass, i am ashamed to b a part of the same close minded and ignorant species as you, it is people like you that are causing wars, with your gun toting lets kill everyone who lives in that country where a single terrorist came from Ye Haw attitude. Well that depends on your opinion again I guess dropping pamphlets saying "GET THE HELL OUT you are amidst TERRORISTS, this area will be bombed"Bubbalo wrote:
AlbertWesker[RE]: Israel was not making an effort to avoid civilian casualties, violating several international agreements (sp. the Geneva Conventions).
How is that not trying to avoid civilian casualties. The Israelis are not evil, they do not want to kill civilians. God you truly are not looking at the facts. That is the best they could do. The people that died either did not listen or did not know how to read.
I don't know how you can say "Israel was not making an effort" at all to avoid casualties. Your ideology is blurring reality my friend.
What makes you think that. Why not just say IMO Israel is just a terrorist state, you haven't show too many facts saying they are. Where have they UNLAWFULLY used force for a political or ideological purpose.HM1{N} wrote:
And just so you know, Israel IS a terrorist state.
1) I truly am sorry, I missed the question, and looked for it what is it again? My mistake.Fld_Mrsl_Arts wrote:

8) they hav committed horendous warcrimes, and no one accepts this, people just turn a blind eye, I am Not going to do this!
2) Obviously not (See 3)
3) Yes the post was deliberately attacked, but not to target the UN, duh, because it was being overrun by Hezbollah forces that were ATTACKING the UN PEACEKEEPERS.
4) Yep they did send distress calls, because they were being overrun, have you read the e-mails (Those were the distress "calls") it shows that there were numerous Hezbollah forces outside the post and that they were running out of time. NO matter what you may think, Hezbollah was going to kill those poor UN officials there, it is very sad I must agree.
5) Many people stand up to Israel and spew hatred and lies. They were defending themselves, Hezbollah attacked Israel with rockets BEFORE they invaded mind you, numerous times (same day Israel invaded) nonetheless it was before.
6) Lawless?? Another blanket term to describe an act by a state that you only disagree with. They have done nothing lawless and have not violated Geneva. Read it.
7) No, your not an anti-semite, you have said nothing to belittle or just plain offend Jews. Your opinions are respected, however inaccurate, you are not just spewing hate like some people do, thanks.
8) Another blanket term, war crimes, name them, they acted in self defense, and are now doing exactly as the UN says, letting the Lebanese army take over (which is a mistake).
Overall I don't see how you can accuse me of not paying attention to the news when you make no less than 3 mis-statements of facts. You failed to recognize that the UN post was being overrun by HEZBOLLAH fighters and that Iranians were found among the dead. If anything Iran is a lawless state. For a good read, Read Guests of the Ayatollah by Mark Bowden (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/087113 … p;n=283155, or just read the summary. Have a good day.
i agree with some of that, but u missed out my whole comment about the civilian killings
1) Because of specific intel from Israelis and the Lebanese government, when a terrorist organization has infilitrated a country to the extent that Hezbollah has to Lebanon, it is not hard to find where they are.Bubbalo wrote:

Ok because soldiers are not terrorists. Your question basically answers itself. Israel is trying their best to target terrorists and not civilians. And I don't know how you get off implying that Israel has kidnapped on even as close as a scale as Hezbollah has recently and in far past.
To clarify the answer to your question. Hezbollah IS targeting civilians, Israel is NOT.

One deliberate raid?? It wasn't a civilian building, unless you can provide some article I haven't seen. Sorry haven't heard about this.Fld_Mrsl_Arts wrote:

to the above post, israel isnt targetting civilians, that is funny, either israel has the worst intel organisation in the world or they are deliberatly hitting multiple civilian targets on prupose. They hit hundreds of civilian targets where the only residents were civilians, proved not only by searches of the ruined buildings but by the dead found and witnesses who formerly lived in the buildings
fuck lebanon and israel i dont want my taxes to go to them, they can rebuild their land but i dont want to pay those camel riders a shit.

Ok in a way, yeah, but not really, they knew civilians were around the terrorists, because thats what terrorists do, they shield themselves with civilian populations, been done before.Fld_Mrsl_Arts wrote:

So they drop pamphlets that say "CIVILIANS GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY"
They don't = Collateral damage.
Israel is not targeting those places BECAUSE civilians are there, they are targeting those installations BECAUSE terrorists are there.
The problem is that the Lebanese (most of them) have allowed the terrorists to become part of the country. The people need to force them out.
These types of wars/conflicts are not as easy as bomb target A which is a military installation. It is bomb target X which has terrorists but civilians as well.
Blame it on the selfishness of the terrorists for COWERING behind civilians.
Hmmm, this post seems to have been made without a lot of thought, how do taxes go to rebuilding Lebanon.......Lebanon is being funded entirely by Iran to rebuild everything.penguin.killer wrote:

(I'm guessing you were being sarcastic)
Ever hear of propaganda, imagine that. The terrorists probably picked up the pamphlets and got out so that the only killed would be civilians. Hmmmm. "Witnesses" are generally unreliable.Fld_Mrsl_Arts wrote:

well as i said terrorists arent normally there, most of the targets are plain civilian targets that are hit and destroyed. As for the leaflets, the people couldnt go, israel had hit all of the oil depots in southern lebanon, and few of the civilians hav cars, they couldnt go, they were slaughtered
Slaughtered....interesting word usage. I still have not seen a shred of evidence showing that Israel DELIBERATELY targeted CIVILIANS.Fld_Mrsl_Arts wrote:

One thing is for sure, is that when civilians get killed, no one on the offensive is rejoicing, you do understand that?
