I was there on the 13th. I had to drive the American Express execs back to Manhattan from St Louis. They were here for the PGA tournement. Most of us watched on TV, the New Yorkers were put on servival mode. Just driving listening on the radio where certain drug stores were open, what hospitals were taking patients, where they could go and not go. They lived through it, most of us have no clue what it was really like to be that close. After that day, I have a whole new view of terrorist and there screwed up beliefs.
did they ever discover how/why there is so little wreckage or why it just disintigrated ? for a building that size you'd expect huge fuking metal gurders and big slabs of concrete everywhere.

I saw a few photos or similar on 4chan.
4chan being 4chan, the photos consisted of body parts strewn all over the road, on top of parked cars (dunno how they werent covered in debris from the buildings) and over some of the surrounding buildings.

A lot of steel ended up in India at scrap yards.
They even made a ship out of the scrape metal. I think it's the U.S.S. New York or U.S.S. Liberty or something of the sort, probably USS New York.
I'm excited to visit the new 1WTC when it's finished. Anybody know off the top of their head if it will be taller or shorter than the previous two buildings?

Less floors, taller building. The spire at the top will make it taller than the former 1WTC (with the antenna).
