I can't get my mic to pickup I can hear but not transmit. Any help would be appreciated.
Do you have it activated under options?
Did you set the mininmum level to pick it up too low on setup?
Are you too far away to pick it up? Too close?

Yeah i had this problem when I first set up my mic. Took me 20 minutes to find out that it was on mute in the master volume audio properties.

Have you got an nForce based motherboard ? If so, have you installed the latest nVidia Audio Drivers ? I did. They broke my mic!IvysDad wrote:

I'm having this problem too... I unmuted the microphone and I double checked the mic was functioning (windows recorder) but once I enter the game, the mic stops functioning, even the in-game mic test registers nothing?! Wassup? Pressing the in-game voip button during play also results with nothing (standard keybind layout)? Any suggestions? thks
Btw, when I first got the game, no probs with the mic but no one seemed to communicte via Voip (Unless garbled feedback and cursing can be translated as communication) , now I got some buddies on-line but I can't communicate lol ... its so ironic

I dunno about you but as far as I know yours should be the same. If you don't mute the mic you will hear everything it picks up. One thing I always have to do is turn on the +20db in advanced options for microphone, also make sure it's selected. I just got a new headset (which rocks btw, Seinheiser pc160) and I couldn't get it to pick up any transmission in the mic test within bf2, but ppl could still hear me in the game. Maybe you're just being ignored? Always a possibility..Bubkin wrote:

Hey I just got the Sennheiser (had to look at the headset to confirm spelling) PC160s last week.
Best headset I've owned. Period. I picked it up at eCost for $65 or so. It came with free shipping too.
