I like your layout fine except for two things:

The "newest posts" text, maybe move that a little to the right
The bottom part is kinda big

Submit it to Google/Yahoo (I forget how) and basically advertise, I guess.

I've done MSN YAHOO GOOGLE and a few other search engines. so far MSN is the only to actually send people my way. The site is quite high in results for pc help forums on MSN search
