How does it cheapen the win?? The other guy only won because he cheated. He clearly didnt have the skill to win otherwise, therefore the 2nd place person was a better cyclist.cpt.fass1 wrote:
Yes, well lets face it even if they give the gold to the second place guy, he was still the second place guy and not the winner. Hahahahaha so it's a win by default but not an actual win.. cheapens it in my eyes.Vilham wrote:
lol ok then next year ill do the Tour de France in an F1 car and win!!! wooop that makes me better than everyone else...cpt.fass1 wrote:
and cheating is a form of winning, even if it wasn't done by there "rules" he still beat everyone.
Ahh but that can't be proven. First place or not he still came in second, hence cheapening the win..
Why are you acting like a tosser?
I really do not care about you outcome for the US Economic model. It's your research!
The sites you provide are jack, they make you point invalid and they are not authoritative business sources.
I know, because I work with options and futures traders, financial advisers, economist and every other business professional that walks through my office.
What I'm trying to say, is if you want to be taken seriously in a debate about economics, THEN USE BETTER SOURCES!
Your rite, I'm not going to argue with you anymore after this post. Go a head a be a fucking Lemming!

Oh ffs man put a sock in it . You go to the Middle East like once , take some pictures and all of a sudden you have a masters degree on the Middle East . You know what you should do , I mean for real , get off of the bfs2 forums and write a book , sell it and give the proceeds to a charity of your choice . Because all the of the "books" you've written here are worthless and get you no where . Your obsessing on it . Stop it . Before you turn into " Oprah O'donnel " ya shmuck .CameronPoe wrote:

As within any society you have a variety of different views. I think most people that are angry with America really hasn't spent much time with it's people. We love life, freedom, and respect the rest of the world for the most part. You could argue that Americans are misled but generally we are good people who care about humanity.
If you are angry the US than be angry at it's policies. If you are angry with the people come have a beer with us.

This is just typical euro shit talking that they cant back up!! In the end, America isnt perfect, we never claimed that we were!! We just are the number one super power, and countries that dont do shit, and dont matter, get pissed at us! ITS JEALOUSY in its purist form, its quite flattering actually!
The fact remains, there is no other country in the world, where you can literally show up having dirt in your pockets, and turn it into wearing a 3 peice suit!! Its the entreprenurial spirit that thrives here, NO WHERE on earth can say they have better entreprenurial opportunities than the USA! By the way, our economy WILL BE JUST FINE MY FRIEND!
Hey I would RATHER be on top!! Then constantly bitching that its someone elses countries fault for the ills of the world ALL THE TIME!!! Bottom line is it could be A LOT worse. . . . and you know it!!
Prove me wrong.
Its common knowledge, GO TO A LIBRARY, read the history of that area of the world. Read the history of recent conflicts of that area, written by non-baised reports/profs etc. I am not bull shitting any of you, and I am not blowing anything I say out my ass! I have a minor in world history, I think I have a pretty good grasp on whats going on in the world these days! Do I slant to the right side sometimes, YES I do! But ask yourself, dont you have your little biases as well?? We're all flawed in our own ways, but I try my best to read the writing between the walls before I lash out on any issue. Whether you agree with me is one thing, whether you know I'm right, and dont want to accept it, is another!

Dude remeber your historiography classes.
Ranke was good but wrong!
Follow the post modern idea of Focualt- evrything is false but for a little truth, since everyone is biased and precieves the world based on their own experiences and evidence no matter how good will always be judge differently.
But you are right, the library provides the best sources then the internet could, plus it is easier to double check information. But some people here like to barf up components of their micro and macro economics class that were taken from their freshman year college text book!

What you are describing there is the reason everyone hates America as a country (im not talking about individuals) it is not your fucking place to "do the work of the rest of the world" stay out of stuff thats got nothing to do with you. The UN are the world's police and they do a fine job, but America always has to come along and fuck something up, and because of that dickhead Tony Blair England is getting dragged into this crap too.Kmarion wrote:

I know that. I was stating that was the problem. Would you like me to start a list of other countries asking where the USA is? Please say yes.Vilham wrote:

I little fact you might not know. Many Americans would like nothing more to mind there own bussiness and let the rest of the world deal it's own issues. As far as the UN, yes they do a great job of showing up after the massacres to photgraph what happened. Great job in disarming Hezbolah also.

Mate you dont disarm a terrorist group in a short time scale, England only just disarmed the IRA after like 40 years of terrorism. Also im sure there are lots of countries out there that want American help, by help however they mean political pressure/aid not a military invasion.
Not only where they not being diarmed they were gaining an incredible amount of power militarily. We provide plenty of aid and pressure as well. As far as invading you must be talking about one thing and that is obviously the one thing that is first and foremost as the negative image the US is cast into. I as an American have no desire to impose my will on everything either.

Well i am glad you dont want to impose on others but im afraid the same cant be said for your government, George Bush and Tony Blair are both willing to impose on others, thats the problem with elected leaders, they want to lead meaning more often than not they are always right in their eyes and they want power.Kmarion wrote:

Can we come have a beer if we disagree with some US policies and don't actually hate the people at all?Kmarion wrote:

You post got me thinking...if we took all the Debate & Serious Talk posters and stuck them in a bar, do you think everybody would get drunk and argue about politics or just sit round talking, playing pool, darts etc?
Personality dependent I guess. I don't get too uptight about things I can't immdiatly change. So I could relax and play darts with anyone .

Also, we did it without resorting to carpet bombing Dublin.Vilham wrote:

Yes well because we didnt carpet bomb we did create any more terrorists than there already were, they were decreasing in numbers every year, or atleast their activity was.
I never saw one video of carpet bombing runs. Incase you have never heard of the good that is going on. http://www.defendamerica.mil/Vilham wrote:

Totally right Vilhaim - we didn't bomb them and so we didn't exacerbate the situation. Bombing doesn't get rid of terrorists. It might kill some of them - but then you end up with even more than you started with - which is why the war on terror in it's current form is a waste of time. The war on terror needs to be a purely intelligence operation.Kmarion wrote:

Since 9/11 the actions of the US government have created an evironment perfectly suited to creating more and more terrorists. The war in Iraq being a prime example.
Bombing and invading are not how to deal with terrorists. You investigate terrorist cells and then arrest them. If they are based in other countries, as most of them are, you cooperate with local law enforcement agencies - rather than just going in alone. International cooperation and high quality intelligence work - not fabricated intelligence to back government policy (WMDs...) - but real intelligence that leads to tracking down the terror suspects. A bit like has been going on in Britain with homegrown terrorists.
