Ok, I never really liked the reputation of Macs till its recent switch to intel. Well two days ago during the WWDC 2006 conference, Steve Jobs released the Mac Pro... The successor of the G5. That beast uses TWO "Woodcrest" Xeons, can carry up to 2 TB of storage, 16 GB of ECC DDR2 SDRAM, and up to 4 gfx cards... wow that thing is a beast.

www.apple.com for more details.

With Leopard coming out soon and the Final version of Boot Camp, have we got ourselves the ulitmate PC that runs almost every OS there is to see???

sounds like you're biased against macs...  i hated macs until os 10.2 came out.  i grudgingly had to start using a mac when i started working at a recording studio, but now i love them.  the mac os is far, far superior to windows.  it's done pretty much everything that windows promised vista would do for years now.  that being said, if you know what you're doing you can build a comperable PC cheaper than a mac and if you aren't retarded you can keep your windows system running well.  but no matter how responsible you are about keeping spyware and viruses off your machine, most people have to reformat a windows box at least once a year.  i know that all of my friends and i reformat about twice a year.   i've never had to reformat a mac.  just a thought

A Mac can't be the ultimate PC, because Macs and PCs are different platforms. Saying that is like saying Coke is the ultimate Pepsi. Macs are Apple based home computers, PCs are IBM based home computers.

but when someone says "pc" they mean "pc running windows."  a mac is a "personal computer."  so a mac can be the ultimate pc since macs with intel architecture run windows.  it'll sure blow an alienware out of the water for the money.  except the apple store charges way too much for memory and storage upgrades, but you can get those from newegg.

It is possible to run BF2 on a mac and I am pumped. Now if only I can sell my Kidney to get one of them fancy new Intel Macs.

Hey no problem man, enjoy your mac.  I just wanted to post an article from a reputable tech site which offers a very sane and unbiased look at the new Mac.  Didn't really need the sales pitch.....
