I've gone pretty far up in jets, but not that high. But I think it can be done. Thats a legit screen, from what I can tell.

But the M16 is think is a graphics issue of your own perhaps, when I bailed, I didn't get any change in the appearance of my weapon.

He didnt spend 277 hours trying to do this you noobs. Nobody can sit for 277 hours pressing W and making sure the helo doesnt fly off the map. I dont think you can get past 650 meters high anyway.

No, once you get up to 500 or 600 meters high it takes over 1 second to get 1 meter high. 1,000,000meters/60 seconds=16666 minutes, 16666 minutes/60 minutes =277 hours. This is probably flawed but it would still take a really long time.

Did you do this on stunt mod perhaps? Every vehichle has "afterburners" in stunt mod so he would fly strait up much faster, there by not sitting at his computer for 277 hours.

I do it to noobs all the time. When noobs get in my gunner seat and im about to get kicked for going out of bounds to kill them i just go as high as i can for as long as i can so they get out from boredom.

Nope, wasn't a stunt mod. The farthest I've been able to go on the rocket powered mod was like 60,000 meters BTW I don't have fraps so I can't make a vid, anyways it would be a huge file because I was there for like 30-45 mins :s

There is a cieling, I dont know exactly how high but somewhere around 600.

Sat hovering over USS Essex while my squad spawned down onto it. I didnt have to even touch the mouse to keep her steady, I just held W the whole time and the BH was pinned to the maps BH cieling.

Yes jets can go higher, but the choppers can't hit those same altitudes...

Rate of ascent slows the higher you go, partially because it's such a cunt to keep her steady without a reference point, and...well, you get tired of keeping her steady. Beyond that there has to be something built in to make your rate of ascent slow down programed in.
