Hi all

I'm reading a lot all over the forum, about real life experiences with arms and vehicles, like we can use them ingame. I'm courious now, who in this forum was in military service and what he/she has doing there.

I will start. I was serving in the Swiss Army in a mechanized battalion called "Mech Füs Bat 54" and was driving APC's as troop transports for an Anti-Tank company.

I served 9 months (Finland has a semi-compulsary military training of 180, 170 or 362 days) as an MP with Anti-Tank-training on the side. January through September 2000.

5 Years with the United States Marine Corps.

First i started off at:

2nd Fast Co (Fleet AntiTerrorism Security Team)
then magically whisked away to Marine Corps Security Force Company Bangor.
Then keeping in my 4th MEB (AT) Fashion
i landed myself with 1/8 (AntiTerrorism Battalion)
My Military Occupational Specialty Was:
0311 Infantry Man
8152 Security Guard
8154 Close Quarters Battle Team Member
and Designated Marksman.

I'm tempted to go in to the Navy/Air Force out of high school and then go in to commercial piloting.

But, for now, I'm not old enough.

I've got some career pondering to do till then.

Compulsary military training 300 days. 2nd in command of a detection squad. Mainly CBRN/NBC-duty, but also a lot of radio and the ability to function as a soldier. Spent some looong hours dressed in rubber

mmm, career pondering. Thats all ive got for now. if i get the grades i may join the air force, but that goddamn yr 9 maths pass.....WHY YR 9 MATHS! THE ONE YEAR I DONT PASS!

and it was the TEACHERS fault i didnt pass 9 maths, all hers.......im actually doing better out of that school and in a new one.

But then again, I could play StarCraft during our field drills, sleep and drink cola.
