Abilene, Texas.. one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Big enough to have everything you need, small enough not to have rush hour traffic.
Other favs of mine:
Dallas, TX
L.A.
San Diego
Austin, TX
..and pretty much anywhere else in the South.

Boston. Partially because it's my hometown, but mostly because I just fucking love that city. It's diverse, historic, beautiful, small enough to walk around, great parks to just hang out in. It's even a great place to fuck because there's approximately 9 billion colleges here. I don't have a blind eye for it's faults, though. It's too expensive, the traffic is horrible downtown and I don't know how people that aren't local to the area can figure out where they're going. Because of the Big Dig ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_dig ), roads will (literally) be there one day and gone the next.
It's just an amazing city. Everyone that lives there loves the city, so there's a lot of hometown pride. When the Red Sox won the world series, millions of people showed up. FOR A PARADE. It was the most amazing spectacle I've ever seen. People were 20-30 deep. After the parade passed me I walked to another part of the route along the river, and there were people as far as the eye (and my camera) could see. It's dumb stuff like that that helps me love the city. It's not just the city, but also the people.

The correct answer was .... Chicago!!! Although I've only been to Chicago, New York, Boston, Buffalo, Niagara, Washington DC, Schenectady and Albany. Big beautiful city, great music, friendly people - architecture second to none in the US.
I'd say San Fran would give it a run for it's money though. And one of my flatmates lived in Austin, TX for a few years and said it's the best.

The difference between Chicago and New York is that in Chicago, there is so much more experimentation with tastes and looks of the cuisine. There are restaurants here that you would never find anywhere East. Chicago is leading the revolution in culinary arts.
And I love to eat, thus I love the food here.
WASHINGTON DC represent!!
Carlsbad, California, USA
