i may be british but i live in the usa and there is no way im paying for a PS3 at 600 dollars, when i have an awesome PC, and can inevitably get a xbox360 for alot cheaper when the PS3 comes out and/or when it hits christmas. its just too much money for a console

the battle is bettween ps3 and xbox360 but it depends ond the part of the world, in usa ps3vsx360, in europe ps3 will own more than x360 and in japan ps3 vs wii.
call of duty for wii is really disapointing, no grass low graphics... and in general the contol is bad
ps3 has the rumor of the cell chips going slow
x360 shown great games like oblivion but sometimes had low fps on them.

X360's HD-DVD drive is gonna be for movies only. The're not going to use anything but DVD-9 for games (so no more than 9gb). Admittedly, it'll probably be 2-3 years before developers can make enough stuff to fill a disc, but when they can it will be phenonemal.

Yes, it costs a bloody fortune. The games will cost at least £40 each. To be honest, I don't care. One, I have quite a lot of money. If I was worried about money I'd probably buy the Wii. I'm not going to start quoting too many specs but the PS3 is more powerful than the X360. Yes - the Xbox had a similar advantage over the PS2 but not quite as large. Another reason many miss is the disk drive. The 360 comes with a standard DVD drive, which can hold 9GB. The PS3 comes with a Blu-Ray dirve. A single layer disk holds 25Gb, and a duel layer disk 50Gb. Now, the Xbox can be upgraded, in December, with an HD-DVD drive, but that will cost around £100 estimated (bringing it up to PS3 price), and will only provide 15gb per disk layer.
PS3 runs on Linux, as I'm sure PC owners know, is a good thing. It can even browse the internet. It comes with a 60 GB Hard drive (to the 360s 20GB). The PS3 also has a motion sensitive controller. Yes, the diea was nicked off Nintendo slightly, but unlike the Wii-mote, it retains the functionality of a normal controller as well, with 2 analog sticks.
Yes, its going to make me broke, but I want one.
The 360 has Major games comeing out AND you will be able to have 360 and PC gamers play against each other online in about a month.

I'll be buying a 360 in a year or so, when the prices have gone down, and there are some more attractive games out.
You guys need to play Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter online on xbox 360 live, I now switched to this game because everyone uses their mic and they play a tactical game, bf2 might be good because of the vehicles and stuff but if you looking for reality in a game that is the game to get on 360 it also includes just about any weapon you can imagine from AK-47 to cornershot + ranking system .
For those that are waiting for ps3 well it will come out when there will be time for the next generation of consoles

I agree completely. Sony et al seem to think that more pixels = better games, but they're wrong. Me and my bros play a fair bit of arcade games on MAME, and one of our all-time faves is Ultra Tank. PC first, xbox2 next cause the price will drop when ps3 is out. I have an xbox first gen & was quite happy with it. PS3 looks yummy but come on the xbox2 is over priced though, that thing will be crazy.
