Well unfortunitly my power supply died the other night, had a guy come from Rent-aTechie come and look at it and he don't know whats wrong with it but it is infact my power supply, sent it back for a free replacement from the company but...has that every happened to anybody. I was playing an all nighter with my clan, the next moring i go to turn it on and nothing at all, absolutley nothing came through to my computer, Checked all connections and everything but it literly just died.

Advise anyone, its a X-Connect® 500W ATX PSU, think i should get a new one or wait till the replacement comes my way

Thanks

so it just suddenly died? no electric shocks or anything? i think its a bit of static shock that killed it. stick with the old one, doubt it will happen again

i'm personally not a big fan of the ultra PSU's.  other manufacturers (fortron source, antec, etc) have much higher prices on regular looking PSUs, which are also rated much lower.  kind of makes you think ultra skimped on the internals... especially when the other ones feel like bricks and the ultra is a featherweight.
