Uh, not really. The US Military has to make an example of someone, and why not make the example out of the most twisted and sickening case. They weren't too tough on the Abu Ghraib guys and they excused the guys who planted the AK-47 to cover up a murder, they'll probably let the Haditha guys off too. Not because they're innocent, but because the military isn't too keen on looking bad. Especially when no one wants to join as it is.
