Apologies but tou wouldn`t believe how thick i am when it comes to computers. I only use it to play BF2. What i want to know is how do you get to you localisatoin files so you can change you HUD text. I`ve read the stuff on what to do and it looks smart, i just don`t know where to start ;/
theres 2 places you need to change it in but honeslty i dont have time to look right now im on my way out the door. a search should find it within 5 mins of searching or so. just search for hud.
question why do you want to change the text. are you trying to record a game that hasnt started yet? or just trying to not show parts of the hud?
there is a command that will remove the hud but not the text that says waiting for 1 more player to join.
renderer.drawHud [0=no, 1=yes]
Turns the Heads Up Display (HUD) on or off.

The HUD like in laser guided missiles where it says "LASER GUIDED MISSILE ARMED"? That's a something file, not localization file. It's part of the graphic itself.
