Karkand is a noob map, don't expect any teamwork on there.
If I play that map at all, 99% of the time I'll play sniper, and you will not see me in the grinder section.  Maybe sniping at it, but not in the mix.  Karkand is good if you're trying for a badge that needs X number of kills IAR.  Other than that, it's a mess.

Someone else suggested Warlord, and I'd like to second that.  The palace can be a real bitch to hold/take, but it at least has some value (assets are there, APC, ticket bleed spot).  Plus you get the added bonus of SF players generally not being retards.  I love this map.  It's my most played now.

Hotel has nothing but bodies, bullets, and inane banter.  I'd much rather defend the east side from trainwreck or from  just the other side of the water.  Suburbs can be fun too, but Hotel and square and just point fests.

I'm ashamed that Karkand was once my most played map.

Regarding squads....I'll follow orders as long as they're not stupid.  Like, if I were on Karkand and we only have one point, don't tell me to go get Hotel.  That's best left for the last spot you take or reclaim.  Most of the time, I play with a small group of friends and we form a 3-4 person squad and just take points.  We'll defend them for a bit, and then move to the next one.  After we take a 2nd spot, we run back through the first to see if anyone is trying to take it.  Then, we move onto the 3rd.  I only wish we'd hooked up earlier and my teamwork score wasn't so low.  The others are around 50-50, and I'm slowly catching up.  Still, we try to play smart, switching kits as needed to help teamates and changing tactics based on the map.  We are definitely not the uber squad, but minus point whoreing squads, we're frequently best squad for out team.

i play with a colonel by the name of G.Kaplan, he is a very big team player and always nice, and today i played with a 3 star who was an excellent pilot in the helos, and a very good team player.

i think its just some asshole/retarded high ranking players that ruin it for the nice guys.

yes, i did read that, and i can agree that sometimes high ranked players only care about the points, and getting them as fast as possible.

I would consider myself a high ranked player, but would not put myself in the same catagory as people who only care about more points. Im a team player, an all-around player. I am ranked in the top 2000 or so for team points despite the fact im nowhere near that in global point rank. There are plenty of people out there id say who are very good team players, the problem is there seems to be more who just care about their global score period.

Whenever I play as Commander or Squad Leader I find it is all but impossible to get anyone to follow orders.  For example, while playing as MEC Commander on Karkand, I tell everyone that the US is heading back to our base for a cap.  No one will respond.  They are all too busy fragging/whoring by the hotel.  So, if I am MEC commander I lose my assets.  Next, the players request assets.  I have none! Then everyone is in a push to vote-kick me!

While playing squad leader, I usually don't have trouble getting members.  I am always on the warpath to cap flags and deny assets to the enemy.  Scorching the Earth as I go.  This equals points for me and my squad.  A few weeks ago on Sharqi, I had people begging me to let them join my squad.  I walked away with three ribbons and over 100 points by myself.  I was lucky enough to have GREAT squad members that followed my orders and respawned with the appropriate kit.  As I recall, I was the most senior rank of my squad.  Others were sarge or lower.

I personally love taking flags and thumbing my nose at the enemy commander.  I am a real pain in the ass when I capture his base too.  Like on Dragon Valley.  I will always respawn as SpecOps and destroy his "toys."  Lucky for me the stoopid Commander will drop supply crates to regnerate his toys.  I use the crates to resupply my C4 and blow them up again!  Thanks enemy commander!

Last week I was on a clan server and was "booted' twice cause my score was getting near 100.  I was knocking out is arty and toys as soon as they came back on line.  After about the 6th time he booted me....  What a poor sport!

I rejoined and regained my points and won the round!!!!!

Face it, win or lose it doesnt matter.

Lose 0 - 300 with no flags, doesnt matter as long as you got a good kdr and owned a bunch of people.
Well , there is your new challenge:

If one day you have ambition to go for your expert command badge and your WCR too, you might change that opinion.

I speak you again when you got them...

Just kick them from your squad, simple.

It's not the rank,it's the person behind it.

You see it everywhere, pointwhores are doing their thing no matter how many flags left(hence the lone J10 circling over American Wake Island),leave the area they are supposed to guard just to get closer to the main action(points! ),etc, etc.

I could probably write a whole book about the stupidity I've seen on Wake alone, but you gotta experience something so extraordinary stupid yourself.

Usually some people join my squad because I create one a soon as the round starts,I give my orders 3 times(usually defending the South Base on Wake, which is always completely abandoned!),if I don't get a confirmation from my squad members I immediately kick them from my squad.

Even as a sniper I think I'm doing important teamwork on Wake,if a member of my squad is not there to help out - he's out.

And rank doesn't mean a lot these days, how hard can it be to gather a huge amount of points with nadespamming the hotel on Karkand?
