Bananahands, you need to get your facts straight before you try to make your arguments. You cannot just blindly say the things that you are saying, because they are without merit. Form a real argument instead of, Israel is democratic, MidEast countries are not, terrorists kill civilians, Israel does not. While it is true that many (if not all) middle east countries are far from the democratic ideal, that is not reason enough to bomb them and overthrow their government. You must remember that there are US allies in the region who we support, and help maintain their monarchies. Both sides are killing civilians. Bottom line. I know you probably do not want to believe it, but it is a fact. Ignore it if you like, but not when making an argument.
Taking out either side is not a working solution. Lisik I understand you are Israeli and this hits closer to home for you, but being 24 years old surely you can come up with a better solution than to destroy them. I think the only reason Syria supports hezbollah is because they are both very anti israeli. Baathists are secular, heziboys aint. I think Iran is much more closely alligned with hezbollahianesque (i made that word up) ideals. it all leads to Tehran in my opinion. BUT how can you punish them when you have no semblance of what you were fighting for before? Before it was a case of survival now it is just vengeful. Arab countries attacked Israel after they claimed their independence. Israeli settlers (financed by Euro scions of business like the Rothschilds of the UK and backed politically by the Balfour Declaration) were settling the region before WW2. After WW2, there were two territories, Palestine and Israel. Israel immediately claimed independence, not recognized by the international community. Arab countries attacked after this, and systematically lost their territory in defeat after defeat. Now, I am not condoning Arab action in the mid-20th century, but give the land back mate. Your country did not "win it fair and square" and does not deserve it. Small concessions like that would go a long way in stopping the violence in the area. Most likely, nothing Israel or the international community does or says will stop extremists from carrying out terrorist acts. The idea is not to change their minds, but to change the minds of the overall Arab/International community.
