Not supposed to say this but ... you don't actually need to buy it either.
Just play SF with your account for a match and you've got everything you need. The question is how to play SF a round with your account, legally, without buying it?

The default sniper rifle for Euro is the L96.
So yes you can get to play with it using the Euro booster pack, but only on the Euro maps, on the Euro side.
But if you get SF, then you can use the L96 on any BF2, Euro, AF map, while on either side [if you unlock it].
I would recommend getting SF to any BF2 player, even if they only play 1 second of SF, so that they get the second set of unlocks.
