true, the 50 cal (in real life) would blow someone's arm or leg off...or split their chest in two...they won't get up after the first hit,....
Um....the weapons in BF2 are often highly inaccurate. Consider the L85A1. In-game, this is a fairly accurate and reliable weapon. However, in real life this is not the case. The British Army spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to fix this problematic weapon. It overheats, jams, and the shitty plastic construction causes it to fall apart. So, no, BF2 is not very accurate and therefore don't expect that from a video game of all things. And learn how to type--it helps everyone.

it would suck if it was one shot kill. imagen runing along in a street map liike karkand and just dying every minute or so. no warning just you were killed resporn in 15 seconds. every one would be running round with them. u run round a corner, bang ur dead. it would be worse than the bloody nube tube grenade launcher because they woud't even kill themselves
you think you would get up after getting shot from any gun? even with body armour on, a bullet from any gun will knock you flat on your back. if you're not wearing armour the bullet will shatter ribs and tear through your lungs as if they were tissue paper. the shock of the bullet is usually enough to knock you out, and you're lucky if you live past 2 minutes.
if battlefield 2 was real, one shot anywhere on your body would bring you to the ground. medics would have a hard time trying to control bleeding and administering morphine and shit in the game. and engineers would have to carry things like blowtorches and steel patches, spare pipes and batteries.... commanders would sit on a ship 200km away, and one hit with any type of rocket to a helicopter will usually kill most of the crew and send it flying out of control. theres a reason the game is simpler than real life.

All I know is the 50 cal in DCF in Lost Village kicked ass, 1 shot 1 kill. The ones in BF2 seem like BB guns compared to it, lol.
Since I've been using the M95, one shot one kill works perfectly. Pick a target, wait till he's stopped mincing around, breathe in, hold, fire.... If it's a 'headshot', he's down and out

But anyway, yes, quit whining about the game's realism.. it's supposed to be played for fun! I don't think it would be fun if everybody used just the M95 for the one-hit-kill..

Screw balance, it makes EA look stupid to get obvious (or not obvious) facts about weapons wrong.
If everything in the game was real life, you'd have to go to flight school (X 2) and take a few courses in driving tanks, and then some. This is not a simulation type game, otherwise we'd be learning it for a year just to play it. And why would you want to shoot through a wall - you cant see your target though it>?

The only improvement i would like on the m95 is that it can kill one shot in the chest. Now the m24 has the same power as the m95 (except that it can shoot through cockpits)
usually sometimes i get 1 shot kills on the chest with m95 if i aim right : (
if the .50cal was like in the real life the sniper had to much power in the game
but they could have choosen another sniper rifle like the wa2000 or whatever compared to the accuracy of the unlock.. and not the m95 model ...(specially when the barret family normally is a semi automatic sniper rifle..)

WTF! I played as MEC on Mashtur city yetsedays, playing sniper, used the M95.
I was sniping, the aim right in this dudes head and i shoot, did not kill. Okey, the next shoot I aim and a teammate runs in front and he get killed...That same happens 2 times, hmm, okey, enemies take 2 shhotes in the head by an M95 when a team mate takes 1 in the torso...WTF EA!?

hmm was hitting a guys with the m95 3 times and didnt die.. maybe cause of laag but i saw him shakin as i hit him so..dunno..
