Commander Bug/Hack...

Anyone got this? I was commander and someone else was able to place artillery "AT WILL" and also Supplies... many many... LOL See picture with about 8 or 9 supplies boxes!!

Also, he was able to kick me out of commanding like if I resign...

I saw something *very* similar either last night, or the night before. THe supply crate thing I chocked up to being a glitch, I had just placed artie there, and though, "Gee... maybe something hosed, and instead of artie shells raining down, it's supply crates". I didn't get points/time from that round.

I also kept getting killed by infantry at the main base, but *never* saw them "blip" on scan... and got where I was watching for that in particular, going, "Oh, it's clear", then within 30 seconds, I'm dead from infantry.

I'd also see a commander asset go Tango Uniform, run out to repair, and it'd be online, full health with no one around it.

Oh, btw... this thread ought to be in Battlefield 2->Help!, not BF2S.com->Help.

Maybe this forum ought to be renamed to "Website Help", and the other to "Game Help"?

This is a known client-side hack that works on PB and Ranked servers - player can become commander even if there already is one, and can place supplies and arty as often as they want. Arty kills don't show up as their kills though, just "Player is no more".

I was checking out the website of the makers of the hack -- exactly what it is suppose to do. Wont post the link - alot of incrediblly sad people on their forum - looking for ways to become number 1 without trying

Actually you can't really get any benefits from this hack other than ruining the game... arty kills don't count as yours, you don't get commander points, and really all it could do is help you get a win I suppose.

There was a big thread on this on either planetbf or totalbf2 forums a while ago.

Well... it certainly can be a help.

If you're infantry, and can use scan... or hijack the commander's UAV for where *you* want it. Or resupply yourself... etc.

Either way, lame.

haha, artillery at will and unlimited supply crates... who says THAT is all skill? haha. I don't see how anyone can claim there are none anymore, when there are websites with instructions, downloads, and screen shots (see msxsecurity, for one example).

At this point, if you're trying to tell me there are no hacks for BF2... what I'm hearing is "I'm one of those cheaters, stop talking about it or it might bother me."
