Oh I thought the main goal of our government was to keep us safe. I would hope if I was in the middle of a war zone the good ole unkee sam would come and get me for free not ask for a credit card number. But I guess that's just one of my socialist ideas

well then f taxes I said it. I'm kinda of sick of paying a gross amount of salaries that go to nothing but bloated asses that really don't give a flying fuck about the common man. No taxation with out representation, and I don't feel represented by rich middle aged business men who haven't had a struggle in their life. OK rant over but seriously.
Our governments main goal is to provide it's people with protection from outside sources, like terrorist attacks(failed), create an army(succeed), and help it's citizens when needed. Medical expenses is one thing, because they actually have a program if you legitimately can't afford it. But when our citizens are in the middle of "world war three" as allot of news casters are saying, they fucking better be there free of charge not off policing the least dangerous threat on America.
They put the internet here so I can voice my opion on these things and othe people can hear and either agree or disagree.

You have a choice . Pay a Taxi driver or pay for an Armed escort to a war ship . Decisions , decisions ..........
The fact that it's safer doesn't make the action right. That's like arguing that we should pay for police because we have a decision: pay the criminal or pay the cop.

Second if you are an American citizen living in Lebanon, then you might have some money with you. I doubt it's much of a dent in there pocket books.
Based on principle it's wrong, but the fact it there isn't any harm done. I know if this was any other country charging money you wouldn't hear a thing. But we won't get into that.

You realize the citizens already pay for the protection in taxes. They're making them pay twice before rendering a service that is called for. And don't try to give examples of "You pay for medical service even though you pay taxes" because medical service is not a responsibility of the government, and so the taxes are not being given to your doctor, but they are being given to the military.
But that argument is foolish. If other countries aren't charging, then it merely proves them to be better protectors of their citizens.
