I turned 31 last Wednesday. Way way less depressing than turning 30, I think I’m in a much better head space in general though so that helps.
I think it's boring that ages like 30, 40, etc. are the big, arbitrary "life-altering" milestones just because it's a tick over in base 10. What's wrong with 33 1/3?
If you measure in binary it's the same thing just moved up or down a few years.
When I turned 100000 it was so depressing, but 100001 was much better.

Just be glad you weren't born a tree or common house fly.
Very few people I know are doing much of that. More people trying to buy homes or starting families in 30s or even 40s than earlier. It's just too expensive for a lot of people unless they burn their candles at both ends. Don't tell a Republican that, though. Stuff is trickling down if you can do something to your bootstraps or whatever. A home valued 60k in the 80s worth like 10x that now, but in greater disrepair. Better go out into the sticks where it's slightly cheaper but the schools are underfunded garbo with a gym coach who has very strong opinions about the bible, but will eventually find himself in a Not A Drag Queen meme.pirana6 wrote:

i think there was a period in the 2000s where that kind of beard was more benign. and people got to enjoy not shaving all the time. now i just associate it with the terminally online manosphere and products-for-your-balls wax merchants. fragrance: tar sap.
