I feel the same way about the Country I hear on the radio and see on the T.V. And I love country, just not the Backstreet Boys with fiddles bullshit. But the good, heartfelt stuff more than qualifies as music. I don't know your age, but if you're under 18, you might appreciate it more after you've grown up some.puckmercury wrote:

IMHO neither Rap nor Country should actually qualify as music anyway. Something about country music manages to suck every ounce of joy from my body. Rap? That's just ignunt.
Plus, Hank Williams was the first rock star. He was probally the biggest influence on the Rockabilly scene. Which turned into Rock 'n Roll.
Plus he drank, fought, fucked around, got stoned on pills, and was dead at 29. Something everyone has been doing since him.
And beyond that bullshit, he's the greatest singer and songwriter of all time.
