you're only worth $41, and just wait until it's stripped!

I'm always curious as to why someone would do this?
Unlike some, there are people who are actually educated and go to University. And like every student knows, tuition and supplies aren't given. If this can generate money, then good for it, if not then that's too bad.
So what if I'm only worth $41, and your worth...?

Oh and thanks for the advertisement. Looks like some people who complain dislikes rulebreakers CAN'T read the Rules themselves...

lol @ firestorm.  Dont know why I just like to lol.

I dont hate moongamers, never have gone there.  Most of my 24/7 Kark servers, I was on SSH, GoF (even though it blew when admins were gone), KAW, and WNx's 24/7 Sharqi.

Now I cant stand having the same map :\

Here is how I view it. Moon gamers is getting stricter and stricter. Hell, I've played on there for the longest

time where the only rules were no teamkilling, language, or commander whoring. Those were the good days

because there were a bunch of good guys on there and were I met cool people. It was all fair game back

then and the admins werre pretty cool. You could hop on your buddies side and squad up no problem.

Basically playing there made the game fun with teamwork and good peopleLets jump ahead 5 months to now

present day. Their server now has about 20+ rules I believe. I really dont understand how anyone can

humanly possible remember all the rules and follow them accordingly. They range from no teamkilling, to not

being allowed in armor after two rounds in a row, as well as everything in between. Very interesting with the

presicion of each rule. They do state they try to make the game "fun" for everyone. Like in the old days in

school where when you made a mistake you got slapped with a ruler, in this case, if you make a mistake,

you get a kick or a ban. Hard to have fun under those sircumstances. Now I have read many cases of

players getting banned without reason. One case involved someone stealing an apc by the US gas station and

killing an enemy around it with the apc. The game is in fact called "Battlefied" not "Politefield". The games

purpose is to kill the enemy and capture flags, not drive by an enemy saying "have a good day". That is just one case out of so many out there.

------Bringing up a few questions:
~Why should spawn camping the Hotel be disallowed? When an average player is spawncamping the hotel, they are worried about watching the alleys. If it's someone on foot spawncamping, all the other team has to do is spawn square and pick them off, because the spawncamper is a sitting duck. If their in armor, the other team should spawn spec ops and sneak up on them. besides, it is a US tactic. It keeps the streets clean so the US can cap the hotel. Plain and simple. Battlefield requires a brain.

~Next question, why should "teamswitching" be disallowed? I thought Battlefield 2 promoted team play. On moongamers, if you teamswitch to play with your clan, you will be kicked for "teamstacking". Clans play as a team and when they do, they usually dominate. But if everyone in the same clan removed their tags,  it wouldnt look like team stacking, just normal play. So what is the point of a clan tag? People being kicked for playing with there frieds is worng. I read on here that some got kicked for "teamswitching" even though he was moved to the other team by the server. He got kicked 40 minutes after he was moved if I remember reading correctly. A pretty long time to react, and basicly no proof he physically switched teams. Pretty harsh.

~Last Question regarding their rules: Why cant you use armor for more than 2 consecutive rounds? An interesting rule to see here. At the beginning of each round, it is fair game. There are random spawnpoints so anyone could get in the armor. Its not like one person automaticly gets the armor in the beginning. Everyone has a fair chance. So some people like to play a certain vehicle, I see no problem with that. That rule doesn't do anything besides  add another rule to be followed. Way too many rules for this 24/7 karkand to be in my favorites.

To end on, folllowing their rules and having fun is about as hard as passing college finals - its possible, just pretty hard.

Another gamer who understands the game Battlefield..well written Blackstone

By the way, another rule just recently put in place at the moon...you can only play in armour 2 times (deaths) a game... if caught more then 2, you get banned. Sets up the game for a tank of apc to sit idle for periods of time...

Im told even the admins question this rule...what the hell is with the moo...have they gone insane!!!
Perhaps they plan on hiring 20 more admins per map, thats what it will take to monitor there current rules in place.

First we had fun but people discovered how to win or gain stats so...then we had a term "spawn camping" which was invented by people over from Halo or CS or idk, next "Base raping" which added insult to the injured egos of pwned players.

Now keep in mind "Spawn Camping" requires a rule on the server or it doesn't even exist so the "Spawn Fence" rules appeared to create the illusion of 'camper's' heinous acts so they can be kicked. And so followed on for the "base raping fences" as well...

Its time to increase our BF2 working vocabulary. It is time to apply a rule called - "Spawn Spamming"

"Spawn Spamming"  is continual spawning at the same point time after time without regard for team needs or the progress of the battle elsewhere on the map. It is against the ROE because it hinders the team efforts by overly focussing on individual stats on a meaningless part of the map and creates non-teamworking inflexible players who refuse to join squads or go for recaps or protect the assets.

I hesitate to bring up "Spawn Tards" this could be a touchy situation. These are people who spawn in the same place over and over and over and over getting killed instantly yet each time expect that the next time they will not be killed. This also hinders the teams efforts and violates ROE. Ultimately they get the admins to put up a fence and kill the enemy for them.

IF you play the WHOLE MAP with your WHOLE TEAM they way BF2 was CLEARLY DESIGNED most of these complaints we all are bantering over would not even exist. Instead? One year later and alot of people still don't know what teamwork is, or what it looks like, or how to make it work.

First came BF2, then came the whining from whence came the fence.

Personally i hate when three retards in armor w/engi kits surround the hotel and camp it. I've seen USMC Team loose because of that many times. Yes i know that you can spawn anywhere else with AT kit and blow up the armor, but when its your last flag or they are all Engies and stick together, you cant do shit. While with this rule the MEC Team still has a chance. Honestly, i would love if there would be an infantry only map, I've heard they might put it in new patch. I hope so.
Why not. Its called teamwork. If the MEC team can pull that off then they have a well organizied team and know what there doing in order to win.

Hmmm, how about you play by a servers rules, after all you are a guest their. Have some respect for those who offer you a place to play. If you cannot abide by the set rules in place or feel they do not suit your game style then go play on another server.

To post every little nuance you do not like about a particular server is ridiculous....who gives a shit. Anyone who plays on a server and is kicked usually deserves it.  Admins take the time (their playing time) to help out and offer a decent place for you to play...wtf, give them some slack.

No server is perfect, nor will all be satisfied. Servers learn as they grow with the games they offer. Those servers that are successful show by the numbers, MoonGamers has on average over 300 players at any given moment, sometimes close to 400. They started from a single 32 slot server over 2 years ago, I guess they have what it takes to stay alive while so many servers fold like a cheap tent.

This isn't a company taking you for all your worth, it's a non profit gaming community providing players a large diverse selection of servers to play and have fun.

Why don't you go lambaste the Canadian government for the amount of tax we pay instead of making it a personal public vendetta against a server....it's pathetic.

I can see playing by the rules. But certain rules that are set out can be quite dumb.
Even the rule where "only admins allowed in jets." I have nothing against the admins of servers, just the rules that are set out.

Whats so hard about just not playing on their server? If you have been on bf2s for any amount of time you would have seen the 40 or 50 post on this same subject.  Granted I dont like the server and refuse to play there but just move on, there are plently of servers I get 900+ when I click on join internet.

yeah you know, in war, you arent allowed to camp anything. war has rules like; no spawn camping, no base raping, no spamming a carrier. ask the armed forces if you dont believe me, i believe its someplace in the small print.

just because you cant out smart the camper/spammer you have to make retarded rules. you know, so your precious score wont get ruined.

lol i agree. sometimes auto-balance sux, especially when it picks on me too.

I play on servers that encourage teamwork and allows friends on the same teams to reduce this random renationalization but it still gets me once in a while.

I agree the rules are a bit dumb, however your logic is retarded.

In war I can get killed and wait 15s then respawn on my squad leader?
this aint war its a GAME that uses balanced gameplay. Im sick of people using this idiotic thought process to justify their actions.

Next time read the whole thread before such irrelevant post, that question must have been answered at LEAST twice in this thread itself.

Comet© wrote:

And your post is any better?

-----

I officially conclude that Moongamers is a group of people where they Do and Speak before they Think. Their rules can prove this statement as well as the contents of their posts, which after time will generate threads like this. This post here as well can support this statement:

Lin wrote:

It is the admins of the server who request to have the rules in place/changed/etc. Core and the Sr Admins review and either approve and implement, or not.

I will agree there are some issues regarding the Karkand rules and those are being addressed; in fact, the admins are scheduling a meeting.
By you saying that you agree that there are issues regarding Karkand rules proves that the Admin who requests such rules and especially the Core and Sr.Admins that agree that this specific rule should be implemented, proves that the Core and Sr.Admins are witless in addition to the statement above. I suggest that your next Core and Sr.Admins, should have the slightest intellect in Philosophy.

I highly suggest you purchase and read this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/007312 … 43?ie=UTF8

And then purchase in bulk from the University of Ottawa and distribute them to your members, then maybe your members might be able to think a bit more, especially yourself, who closes a so called "Debate-Thread" because you don't have any signs of wit whatsoever.

As everyone who visited any RAW Original West Coast server, they will know that it can easily be compared as the old Moongamers... no teamkilling, no swearing. Neither RAW or Moongamers received any complaints about their servers in public forums like BF2S regarding their servers. Now everyone can see what happens when more crap is added...

Check this out: http://www.moongamers.com/forum/index.php?showforum=71

They have like more rules than the all BF2 servers combined now, which may explain why some people here get kicked and/or banned "for no reason"... only a fraction is listed in the server message.
