The pistol already is very good. It has amazing accuracy, a bit of practice and you can hit anything you can see. 4-5 shots and it goes down. I dont even use the shotguns.

Me I think that there cant be just any class, there has to be something just incredibly funny, something you wouldnt expect to see on a game like this.

Class: Scout
Kit:Harpoon, Knife, Taser, Potato gun, and last a nice little lighter that looks like a revolver (comes handy in interrogation)
No armor just a shirt and some boxers with hearts on them.
Abilities: Interrogate anyone whom you sneak up on, light cigars at end of game when you win, potato gun to give portable french fries to the troops and help keep 'em full, harpoon to just stick in anyone, friend or foe, and the taser to zap someone makin a break for their helo or plane.

I say give the engineer a spade so he can digg down the mines,of course takes a bit longer to set them up.

And skip he´s knife he uses the spade to kick ass.

All the ideas here are good or just too damn funny, but I see a huge flaw in wanting so many different kits. The map rounds we all play are aprox. 20min -1/2hr. There just isn't  enough time to fully intergrate all of these units and get a satisfying game experience. If you play a long campaign with a full 32 ppl per side(clan vs clan) then it is viable.

Class: Laser spotter

Sprint: Moderate / Average

Armor: Moderate

Weapons: Assualt rifle (no grenade launcher) / Flare gun / Marking smoke grenade

Abilities:  Laser "paint" gun  for directing Aircraft bombing munitions.  Used in combination with a good pilot, this class can aid in direction of bombs.

(In retro this class might just make a better kit upgrade for support or Lt rank option.)
